Round Robin Photo Challenges - Captions- Believe

- April 5, 2008 Entry

To actually claim to possess supernatural powers you must believe. This performer seeks to present an effect so clever and skillful that the audience cannot believe their eyes, and cannot think of the explanation.
Meet my grandson Ethan, one of my favorites to photograph.
Below is the enlarge version of this photo showing the renders I have made digitally.
The arms have been made 3d transformed in the filter of Adobe Photo Shop.I also used the lens flare to bring that "spot of light" into the capture.
The caption I have chosen is BELIEVE.
There is an unspoken agreement for believing in the magic of childhood.

I used the photo from the center shot of making home made pizzas.

  1. I really love when the magician, make that photographer, tells you how the shot was made. Marvelous. Doesn't hurt to have a cutie as a grandson ;0)

  2. Hi TJ :)

Adorable. The word "Believe" seems to be a bit hidden behind the sidebar. Maybe it's just my computer messing up, but I can't see it. :( It is a perfect choice for your perfect scene! Very cool entry. I would love to see him doing a magic trick.

    Always, Carly

  3. OMG OMG...this is just mind blowing, TJ. Between the music, the photo, the caption...and the message, I just love it from the tips of my toes to the top of my head.

    Magical hugs,

  4. It's amazing what the technologically competent (unlike me) can do with Photoshop. ;-) And your grandson is so cute! Super entry!

  13. How awesome are you! What a cool picture. Maybe one of these days I will learn how to do some of the things that you have done. Cutie of a grandson. There is nothing like them that is for sure.

  14. Very cool. Thank you for stopping by to see mine. It was the perfect picture for me. I sometimes have a very warped sense of humor. The owner thinks I am nuts for posting that photo. And no it is not my husbands.

Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught on film is captured forever . . . it remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything.
